Category: Neck Pain
Neck pain is discomfort or stiffness in the cervical spine region, which supports the head and allows a wide range of motion. It commonly results from muscle strain, poor posture, prolonged screen use, sleeping in an awkward position, or minor injuries such as whiplash. Degenerative changes in the cervical discs or joints, nerve compression, arthritis, or inflammatory conditions can also contribute. Symptoms may include localized aching, sharp pain with movement, reduced range of motion, headaches, or pain radiating into the shoulders or arms. While most cases are mild and temporary, persistent, severe, or worsening neck pain—especially when accompanied by numbness, weakness, or fever—should be medically evaluated.
