Diarrhea (from the Greek διάρροια meaning “flowing through”), also spelled diarrhoea, is the condition of having three or more loose or liquid bowel movements per day. It is a common cause of death in developing countries and the second most common cause of infant deaths worldwide. The loss of fluids through diarrhea can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. In 2009 diarrhea was estimated to have caused 1.1 million deaths in people aged 5 and over and 1.5 million deaths in children under the age of 5. Oral rehydration salts and zinc tablets are the treatment of choice and have been estimated to have saved 50 million children in the past 25 years.

Improved bowel function after reducing drops dosage
I was completely constipated for the first week. By the time I had worked up to 8 drops, my guts were twisted in a knot but still constipated. Then diarrhea, even after stopping for a day. Backed off to 6 drops, which I am on now, and got to normal bowel function. One day had a mild headache isolated to a small area. Some kidney tenderness, first on one side then the other, then gone. Waves of nausea the first few days, but then that stopped. Some extra grumpiness, but that could be due to the rainy winter weather.
Detox caused diarrhea and returned old aches and pains
I had some detox–some diarrhea. Also, had some aches and pains and old injuries revisited
Improved digestion with reduced drops and consistent use
Only some minor runny bowels, using 6 drops, twice a day. I cut back to once a day with 8 drops and doing fine so far. Wife had to cut back more. She is working on nail fungus.
Herxheimer reactions and diarrhea occurred
Some Herxheimer, diarrhea, and some moderate, but rare chest pain.
Taking MMS after meals reduces nausea and improves tolerance
I haven’t been as disciplined about working up to more drops as I should be. I’ve experienced nausea (some slight, some pretty bad) and gotten sick (throwing up), and had some liquid bm. But that was in the beginning. I’m more disciplined about the number of drops now.
Also, I’ve found that if I take the drops 1-2 hours after eating a decent meal (not just something light), I can take more drops and I don’t experience nausea, diarrhea, or anything else. This has made a huge difference. My issues before (mentioned above) were partially because I was taking MMS on an empty stomach first thing in the morning – and that just wrecked me for the day. Now that I wait until after I’ve eaten something substantial, I can take more MMS and I’m noticing more improvements.
Slight stomach discomfort and brief diarrhea after 10 drops
Stomach ache (slight) very slight nausea but it passed after a bit. I do get diahrreah after 10 drops and after an hour or so it passes.
